Community Spotlight: Marcia & Larry

Marcia and Larry met in high school and have been married 61+ years. As a couple, they have enjoyed great travels all over the world and like doing many of the same things such as reading, theater, symphony, and of course…Pilates! 📚🎭🎻💪

They started doing Pilates many years ago on the recommendation of several friends who were enjoying the impact on their bodies. They started working with Jeanne 7 years ago and even though there are lots of studios within walking distance of where they live, they think Jeanne is well worth the travel! As they manage physical issues associated with age, Jeanne works with Larry on his torn rotator cuff and with Marcia on her hip. They love the confidence they feel from doing Pilates as well as the ability to move without discomfort. 🩶

Outside of Pilates, Larry is a retired urologist who is also a photographer and on the Board of @mocpchi. Marcia is a retired fund-raiser and now spends a lot of time as a docent with the @chiarchitecture giving walking and river tours. They are proud parents of two daughters and grandparents to three granddaughters.
